DefCamp, the most important cybersecurity conference in Central and Eastern Europe, brought together at the end of November international guests, the most innovative companies in the field and a passionate community of cybersecurity experts.

Day 1
On the first day of the event, Julien Ducarroz, CEO of Orange Romania, opened the event by talking about the challenges that 2023 has brought in terms of data security and opportunities that new technologies such as AI, IOT or 5G can offer to this industry. Julien mentioned the importance that Orange Romania attaches to innovation and education in cybersecurity, by supporting startups in the field with Orange Fab, participating in European research projects or supporting competitions such as DefCamp or Unbreakable powered by Orange & BIT SENTINEL.

Day 2
The second day of DefCamp continued with the launch of the new Business-Internet-Security (BIS) 2023-2024 report, presented by Ioan Constantin, Cyber Security Expert Orange Romania. He detailed the results of this year's report, which analyzed more than 11 million threats identified monthly by the BIS service, showing a steady increase in the number of cyberattacks. Ioan presented valuable insights for the business community, as well as for specialists in the field, bringing to the forefront predictions & trends for the coming year.
