The 14th International Communications Conference will take place between June 16–18, 2022, in Bucharest. The conference is held every two years, and Orange Romania has been a main partner since the 6th edition in 2006, following an invitation from Professor Emeritus Victor Croitoru of the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology at the University Politehnica of Bucharest.Key Highlights
The conference is chaired by Professors Victor Croitoru and Sorin Zoican from the University Politehnica of Bucharest, alongside Professors Ioan Nicolaescu and Alexandru Șerbănescu from the Ferdinand I Military Technical Academy. In addition to faculty members from both institutions, our colleagues Cristian Pațachia (Development and Innovation Manager) and Marius Iordache (End-to-End Manager) are part of the Conference Organizing Committee. Cristian Pațachia also serves as one of the section chairs for Radio Communication Technologies. As part of the opening session, our colleague Marius Iordache will deliver a presentation titled: “Collaborative Research & Innovation to Support Tech Transfer”, highlighting how Orange supports scientific research and technical education focused on technology transfer to the business sector.Through its educational and research programs, Orange Educational Program and Orange 5G Lab, Orange Romania is contributing to this conference with two research papers:
- 5G Open Testbeds and Infrastructure Extensions for NetApps Advanced Experiments - Marius Iordache, End to End Manager, Cristian Pațachia, Developement and Innovation Manager, Bogdan Rusti, Network Infrastructure & Cyber Security Operations Manager, Oana Bădiță, BSS Architect, together with the partners of the joint research projects, Konstantinos Trichias și Juan Brenes;
- Simulated and Practical Approach to Assess the Reliability of the 5G Communications for the Uu Interface - Razvan Lazăr, PhD student at the Doctoral School of the Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași and recipient of a doctoral scholarship within the Orange Educational Program, profesor Constantin Căruntu, from Universității Gheorghe Asachi Iași and our colleague, Cristian Pațachia - Development & Innovation Manager.
