Orange took part in IEEE ATOMS 2026, Advanced Topics on Measurement and Simulation, hosted by the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca and supported through the Orange Education Program. The event brought together researchers, academic partners and industry representatives to discuss current directions in measurement, simulation and next-generation communication networks.

During the conference, Orange contributed with a keynote session on the Orange Research and Development Ecosystem, discussing company’s involvement in research and innovation for future network technologies.
A dedicated session, “Beyond 5G Connectivity: 6G for a Secure and Intelligent Future,” was organized together with Ciprian Comșa, Vice-Rector of the Technical University of Iași and coordinator of 5G Lab Iași.

Overall, the session included 9 scientific papers presented by representatives of several Romanian universities, opening discussions on key research areas for future networks, including integrated sensing and communication, AI-native 6G, RAN/Edge/Core orchestration, V2X and cooperative mobility, as well as experimental platforms and field trials.
Through its participation in IEEE ATOMS 2026, Orange continues to support collaboration between academia, research and industry, contributing to the development of intelligent, secure and sustainable networks for the future.
