OEP-2022 Regulation on educational packages

About

During the 2020–2021 academic year, Orange Romania offers 3 types of educational packages to 3rd-year students from the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology (ETTI):

Package I (max. 15 spots)

  • Monthly scholarship of €300 for 3 months starting July 1, 2021
  • Summer internship within Orange Romania’s Technical or IT departments
  • Participation in courses of the Orange Educational Program
  • Certificate of attendance for the courses
  • Possibility to complete the bachelor's thesis within Orange Romania
  • Thesis advisor from Orange Romania
  • Priority in recruitment starting January 2022

Package II (max. 12 spots)

  • Monthly scholarship of €200 for 3 months starting July 1, 2021
  • Summer internship within Orange Romania’s Technical or IT departments
  • Participation in courses of the Orange Educational Program
  • Certificate of attendance for the courses
  • Possibility to complete the bachelor's thesis at Orange Romania, subject to availability
  • Thesis advisor from Orange Romania
  • Candidate for recruitment starting January 2022

Package III

  • Monthly scholarship of €100 for 3 months starting July 1, 2021
  • Summer internship within Orange Romania’s Technical or IT departments
  • Participation in courses of the Orange Educational Program
  • Certificate of attendance for the courses
  • Possibility to complete the bachelor's thesis at Orange Romania, subject to availability
  • Thesis advisor from Orange Romania
  • Candidate for recruitment starting January 2022

Application & Selection Process

Applications are open from March 22 to April 14, 2021, via the Secretariat of the Telecommunications Department at: office@comm.pub.ro and nituioana@comm.pub.ro.

Application file must include:

  • CV with contact details (phone, email), academic averages, transcript, competition participation, conferences, awards, diplomas, specializations, additional courses, research activity, student organization involvement
  • Motivation letter specifying the applied package(s) and internship preferences
  • Self-declaration regarding other contractual obligations
  • All documents must also be emailed to: oep@orange.com

Selection Procedure

  • Application file – max 400 points
  • Orange Romania test – max 300 points
  • Orange Romania interview – max 300 points
All tests are mandatory and may be eliminatory. The test will be personalized and held during the online interview. No appeals are accepted.

The list of selected students will be published on April 16, 2021. Interviews and tests: April 19–22, 2021.
Final list and package assignments: April 23, 2021. Internship confirmation deadline: May 9, 2021.
Contract signing starts: April 23, 2021.

Appeals

Packages may be withdrawn if:

  • Unsatisfactory academic performance
  • Violation of Orange Romania's internal rules
  • Unjustified absences from internship
  • More than 10% justified absences from courses or test non-participation

Eligibility Criteria

For Package I:
All 3rd-year students may apply. TST and RST students: eligible for all 15 spots. CTI, ELA, MON students: eligible for 7 of the 15 spots if they:

  • Passed first two years
  • Scored at least 700/1000 points (file, test, interview)
  • Are not employed and commit to remain so
  • Do not have another private scholarship with contractual obligations
Unused spots can be reallocated to other eligible students.

For Package II:

  • Passed first two years
  • Scored at least 600/1000 points
  • Not employed and commit not to work during program
  • No other private scholarship with obligations
For Package III:

  • Passed first two years
  • Scored at least 500/1000 points
More Package I or II grants may be awarded based on scores. Package III may be granted without scholarship based on availability.
