Why Orange Educational Program?
Although I majored in Applied Electronics, I also wanted to explore the field of telecommunications, which led me to choose to do my summer internship at Orange Romania. It was a great chance to broaden my knowledge and better understand the complexity of technologies in a dynamic industry.How was your experience?
Participating in the Orange Educational Program was beneficial for me, giving me both a theoretical introduction and a practical perspective on telecommunications. The program started with workshops, introductory lectures and Q&A sessions on relevant topics such as: technologies and standards in telecommunications, radio access networks, virtualization, IoT concepts, cybersecurity and entrepreneurship. These sessions were supported by academic professors, Orange Romania employees and special guests from the industry, providing a mix of academic knowledge and practical experience. After this introduction, I started my internship, which I carried out in the Enterprise Data Management and Business Transformation department, where I had the opportunity to work in databases using SQL and to be involved in a 5G traffic project. This gave me a detailed insight into the data management infrastructure and processes in a leading telecommunications company.In addition to the technical activities, I also had the role of coordinator of the OEP group, together with another faculty colleague. Together we coordinated the whole team of students in the program, which gave us the opportunity to develop management and communication skills.
After completing the summer internship, I was encouraged to continue my collaboration with Orange and develop my diploma project in the Technology Strategy & Product Innovation Department. My work, entitled System for acquiring, monitoring and analyzing environmental data from a meeting room, was an interesting challenge. While working on this project, I received continuous support from the team, receiving valuable guidance and advice to achieve my goals. Orange Romania also offered me a scholarship to support my academic progress, which meant a lot to me. This experience strengthened both my technical knowledge and my confidence in my ability to manage a complex project from idea to implementation.
At the end of the academic year, we participated in the Graduation Gala of the Program, where all OEP graduates were honored. In addition, the best undergraduate works were recognized and awarded in a festive atmosphere, which marked the end of an important stage for all participants.
Did you collaborate with Orange after finishing OEP?
Following an interview, I received a job offer from Orange Romania. I am currently employed in the Convergent Solution Factory Department. The experience so far has been extremely useful. I was well received by the team and the atmosphere in the department is open and friendly and colleagues - helpful and supportive. I am still in the training period which stimulates me to learn and discover in my field.My entire career at Orange Romania has been a diverse experience, which has allowed me to explore different areas of Telecommunications and gain a better understanding of how the industry works. Going through several departments gave me a broad view and developed my ability to adapt and learn quickly.

ADeși am urmat specializarea de Electronică Aplicată, mi-am dorit să explorez și domeniul telecomunicațiilor, ceea ce m-a determinat să aleg să fac practica de vară la Orange România. A fost o șansă excelentă de a-mi extinde cunoștințele și de a înțelege mai bine complexitatea tehnologiilor dintr-o industrie dinamică.How was your experience?
Participarea la Orange Educational Program a fost benefică pentru mine, oferindu-mi atât o introducere teoretică, cât și o perspectivă practică asupra telecomunicațiilor. Programul a început cu workshop-uri, cursuri introductive și sesiuni Q&A pe teme relevante, precum: tehnologii și standarde din telecomunicații, rețele de acces radio, virtualizare, concepte IoT, securitate cibernetică și antreprenoriat. Aceste sesiuni au fost susținute de profesori universitari, angajați ai Orange România și de invitați speciali din industrie, oferind, astfel, un mix de cunoștințe academice și experiență practică. După această introducere, am început stagiul de practică, pe care am desfășurat-o în cadrul departamentului Enterprise Data Management and Business Transformation, unde am avut ocazia să lucrez în baze de date folosind SQL și să fiu implicată într-un proiect de trafic 5G. Astfel, am avut o imagine detaliată asupra infrastructurii și a proceselor de management al datelor într-o companie de telecomunicații de top. Împreună am coordonat întreaga echipă de studenți din program, ceea ce ne-a oferit ocazia de a dezvolta abilități de management și de comunicare.
După finalizarea practicii de vară, am fost încurajată să continui colaborarea cu Orange și să dezvolt proiectul de diplomă în cadrul Departamentului Technology Strategy & Product Innovation. Lucrarea mea, intitulată Sistem de achiziție , monitorizare și analiză a datelor ambientale provenite dintr-o sală de ședințe, a fost o provocare interesantă. În timp ce lucram la acest proiect, am beneficiat de sprijin continuu din partea echipei, primind instrucțiuni și sfaturi valoroase pentru a-mi atinge obiectivele. De asemenea, Orange România mi-a oferit o bursă de studiu pentru a-mi susține progresul academic, ceea ce a însemnat mult pentru mine. Această experiență mi-a consolidat atât cunoștințele tehnice, cât și încrederea în capacitatea mea de a gestiona un proiect complex, de la idee la implementare.
La finalul anului universitar, am participat la Gala de absolvire a Programului, unde au fost premiați toți absolvenții OEP. În plus, au fost recunoscute și premiate cele mai bune lucrări de licență, într-o atmosferă festivă, care a marcat sfârșitul unei etape importante pentru toți participanții.
Ai colaborat cu Orange după terminarea OEP?
În urma unui interviu, am primit o ofertă de angajare din partea Orange România. În prezent, sunt angajată în Departamentul Convergent Solution Factory. Experiența de până acum a fost extrem de utila. Am fost bine primită de echipă, iar atmosfera din Departament este deschisă și prietenoasă. Colegii sunt săritori, mă ajută și mă ghidează. Mă aflu în continuare în perioada de training care mă stimulează să învăț și să descopar în domeniul meu.De ce recomanzi programele Orange România?
MÎntregul meu parcurs la Orange România a fost o experiență diversificată, care mi-a permis să explorez diferite arii ale Telecomunicațiilor și să înțeleg mai bine cum funcționează această industrie. Trecerea prin mai multe departamente mi-a oferit o imagine amplă și mi-a dezvoltat capacitatea de adaptare și de învățare rapidă.Recomand cu încredere programele oferite de Orange România. Indiferent dacă ești la început de drum sau daca intentionezi să-ți aprofundezi cunoștințele, această companie oferă oportunități valoroase de dezvoltare personală și profesională.
